Three Dimensions features Susan's latest body of work, the Evolution of Nature series, which incorporates dried flora, herbs, and other nutrient-rich elements to create opulent yet playful sculptural surfaces.

The Boundless series is a selection of works that look to the future with an abundance of energy and movement.
While Susan's approach is abstract, the colors are reminiscent of flowers flying in the wind or floating through water. Susan's has an impassioned reverence for the natural world. Her paintings are a way of seeking the infinite possibilities for how nature can inspire, unite, heal and restore us.

The Nature's Bouquet series is a study on floral arrangements, expressed through globs and drips of paint. This technique celebrates the dimension of the medium, and builds a sense of movement and depth. Susan brings energetic movement to this series, as petals cascade across the canvas as if blowing in the wind.

The Emerging Bouquet series is an energetic grouping of works. The intensely layered paintings combine sources of inspiration from Susan's other series: Nature Revisited and Petals & Pollen. For some viewers, they find balance and harmony in the textures and colors. For others, they see a liveliness bursting forth with movement of paint. For Susan, each work is an authentic and vulnerable transparency of her inner psyche, her soul, her biggest fears and greatest joys that surround life and the natural world. 

The Nature Revisited series shows a progression in Swartz's style and a new approach to expressing the connection between her artwork and the environment.Instead of adding more paint and using thicker brushstrokes - as Swartz has done in some of her recent works - in this series, she imprints the paintings with various objects and tools to give a newly textured layered effect.  Here, heavy applications of paint contrast with distinct images and fine lines.  As always, Swartz's inspiration is the environment; but, in this Series, Swartz truly shows the connection between her work and nature. 

Susan's Spectrum, Fragmented, and Fractured series are all characterized by bold color. Each is a celebration of the vibrancy of the natural world, the fiery oranges and reds of autumn, the rich greens of a forest, or the diverse palette of a garden. In contrast, the Reverie series are quiet and serene. Shown together, the series call to mind the natural balance of nature.

With the Contemplation Series Susan finds respite from the riotous colors and intentional forms of her other collections. The Contemplation Series' works almost paint themselves, during quiet moments when her mind is at rest. Inspired by those moments we spend in quiet connection with nature, these paintings are a depiction of our role in the natural world and the power of what lies just beyond our view or comprehension. 

The Landscape of Resonances Series is comprised of fourteen bold paintings. As in an orchestral masterpiece, various melodic and harmonic lines come together to create dynamic movement and depth. With multiple, striking layers, the paintings build slowly to an intricate and beautiful whole.
