We are delighted to announce Susan Swartz's solo exhibition, SUSAN SWARTZ: Three Dimensions, at Galerie Noack in Berlin. This is the debut of Susan's bold artistic evolution, a journey intimately linked to her path to optimal health. The exhibition was curated by Silke Hohmann and Walter Smerling, Chairman of the Foundation for Art and Culture in Bonn.

“With COVID, the importance of a strong immune system is critical. As I was working to build my own immune system, the thought came to me that I should include these elements in my paintings so that the world could reflect on the importance of our natural food."

"Herbs, wheatgrass, turmeric, sage, beans, garlic, rose hips and even melon are part of my daily routine, and now part of this exhibition. Our immunity and our health depend upon what we are feeding our bodies. We both thrive and heal from nature's abundance. That internal dialogue about what we ingest to stay healthy is what led me to bring nature to the canvas. The elements that go into these paintings create the beauty and are the same elements that allow us to blossom."

"For me it is always very exciting to see paintings right out of the studio. On the other hand, it is really important to see where this comes from, the development, what she has done before, and what she has added and what she has left aside."

"There is pleasure to be found in observing how over the course of the last years, the art of Susan Swartz has become even more unbound, developing from within to radiate greater freedom."

"To me it is fascinating to see how Susan Swartz transforms nature into artwork on her canvas. I think that one can see that she has developed her very own artistic language, and that she has certain motifs that she returns to without ever being stuck in repetition."
