Susan Swartz Studios is pleased to present Transient Nature, a collection of paintings that celebrate the delicate and fleeting beauty of nature. The exhibition features works recently returned from Swartz's two-person exhibition at the 2024 Venice Biennale, alongside Laddie John Dill.
Nature is a constant and integral component of Swartz's work. As a subject of enviornmental disease and advocate for health, Swartz finds healing through nature's abundant resources. Her work bridges the conservation of nature’s beauty with the preservation of humanity. In this continual progression of her artistic and personal journey, the role of nature as a wellspring of vitality transpires through both artwork and artist, instilling a catalyst for hope and well-being.

Transient Nature invites viewers to explore vibrant, imaginative interpretations of life. Each work captures the resilience of nature, blending organic forms and color to evoke the transient beauty of each season. From the warmth and wonder of a garden in summer, where petals unfurl and sunflowers reach towards the sun, to the serene stillness of a frozen lake in the winter, Swartz finds inspiration in each fleeting moment. At the entrance of the gallery hangs Sunflowers 17, shown for the first time at the Park City gallery since its return from the Venice Biennale. A surface of soft yellow melts into a serene light blue sky, the surface adorned with real sunflower heads, seeds, and other organic elements.
