Presented by Georges Bergès Gallery at Palazzo Bembo, Impermanence brought together the work of Susan Swartz and Laddie John Dill in a contemplative exploration of light, color, nature, and spirituality. Presented as part of Personal Structures | Beyond Boundaries, the exhibition invited viewers to reflect on the transient beauty of the natural world and the interconnectedness of human experience.
The exhibition highlighted recent works from Swartz's Sunflowers collection, which incorporated real dried florals into the brightly colored, textured paint. Laddie John Dill, A celebrated sculptor and light artist from California, constructs installations using "earth materials" such as light, glass, sand, and aluminum to create immersive environments. Swartz's sculptural, organic paintings from her paired with Dill's more industrial work created an intriguing juxtaposition, providing a view into the natural world through multiple angles.
